Former Biscuits pitcher Jason Hammel is one of five players up for the final American League All-Star roster spot, a decision being made by online fan vote.
Hammel is 8-3 with a 3.29 ERA in his first year with the Baltimore Orioles.
Hammel's competition on the AL final vote ballot are all pitchers: Kansas City's Jonathan Broxton, Texas' Yu Darvish, Ernesto Frieri of the L.A. Angels and Mobile native Jake Peavy of the Chicago White Sox.
