The Birmingham Barons wrapped up the Southern League's first-half North Division title today with a 7-3 win over the Jacksonville Suns.
The Barons, who also lost 7-2 to Jacksonville in the completion of a suspended game from Sunday, have a seven-game lead over second-place Tennessee with six games left in the first half. (Tennessee, at the moment, has seven games to play. If the Smokies win tonight, they'll be 6 1/2 out with six to go.)
