Keith Castillo, barely a part of Montgomery's active roster, became the first Biscuits' hitter to win the Southern League's weekly honors this season.
Castillo has been with the Biscuits since spring training, but he wasn't on the team's active roster until two weeks ago.
The 25-year-old was 10-for-19 with four runs scored, three doubles, his first Double-A home run and five RBIs for the week. After playing in five straight games, Castillo has a .440 average in seven games this season.
Chattanooga pitcher Zach Lee was the pitcher of the week. He threw six shutout innings with two hits allowed in a start Tuesday and had a no-hit inning of relief Sunday. Lee, a former LSU quarterback signee, is 4-3 with a 2.62 ERA this year.
