Colla will sit for first few days with Biscuits

Mike Colla won't be activated by the Biscuits for a few days, manager Billy Gardner said.

Colla is scheduled to fly into town today and, the Biscuits hope, will undergo his entrance physical. Colla threw six innings in a Wednesday loss to Long Island, so he wouldn't be available to pitch for a few days anyway.

Gardner didn't reveal what Colla's role will be with the Biscuits. "Still to be determined," he said.
