Biscuits center fielder Kevin Kiermaier left Wednesday's game after five innings due to an apparent hamstring injury.
Kiermaier hurt himself making a play in the top of the fourth inning. He made a running catch as he ran directly away from the plate toward the center-field wall. Kiermaier fell after making the play and grabbed his hamstring.
After trainer Kris Russell and manager Billy Gardner tended to him, Kiermaier stayed in the game, until the fifth. Kiermaier was 1-for-2 -- pushing his average to a Southern League-best .318 -- and was caught stealing.
