Biscuits center fielder Kevin Kiermaier left Wednesday's game due to right knee soreness. It was a precautionary measure and he's likely to miss one or two days, manager Billy Gardner said. "We'll see how he comes in (Thursday)," Gardner said.
Kiermaier, who said he "did something awkward" on the fourth-inning catch, was more optimistic. The Biscuits leave for Mobile at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
"It's nothing major," Kiermaier said. "They just wanted me to get off it and get some rest. I'll be fine. I'll be back soon. ... We'll see how it feels in the morning."
