Rays third baseman Evan Longoria has gone on the disabled list with an oblique injury suffered Saturday and Tampa Bay has added infielder Felipe Lopez from Triple-A Durham.
Lopez had to be added to the 40-man roster. He's spent parts of 10 seasons in the majors. Lopez hit .333 with eight walks as a non-roster invitee to major league camp.
The Rays are waiting to announce a corresponding move on the 40-man roster.
